Dinosaur Dig Sensory Bin: DIY Kinetic Sand and Dinosaur Unit Study
This unit study combines the learner's interest in dinosaurs and a fun experience making their own kinetic sand for a sensory bin/table at home. They will have hours of imaginative play while discovering facts about their favorite dinos.

Description
Class Experience
For the kinetic sand 6 cups play sand 1 1/2 cups corns starch 2 teaspoons dish soap 3/4 cups water, added slowly or more if needed deep bin or pan (baking pan, shoe box, plastic tupper ware, clear plastic shoe bins) plastic dinosaur toys rocks plastic trees paint brushes toy chisels, hammers, dentist tools sun hat magnifying glass PDF file of worksheets (to be provided upon enrollment) magnetic or wooden letter tiles pencil or dry erase marker if worksheets were laminated or placed in dry erase pockets (always available at the Dollar Tree)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental guidance needed with the sand measuring and some mixing.
