Do you love dinosaurs? I do! In our class, we will take a walk through some of our ABC's looking at the letters, sounds, and special characteristics of some of our favorite dinosaurs. We will practice making the letter sounds to match our favorite dinosaurs' name. We will chomp, roar, and stomp like dinosaurs. Look at what each of our dinosaurs eat and what body characteristic makes our dinosaurs special. At the end of class, each learner will be able to share their favorite dinosaur for a show and tell. You can bring a dinosaur to show or simply tell the class about your favorite dinosaur! During my class, I aim to keep learners as active participants. I encourage sharing, questioning, and active total physical response (TPR) movements to learning. We will explore the world of dinosaurs together with interactive discussion, vocabulary actions and movements (TPR), and a class show and tell. I am hoping that our interactive style will engage and connect learners with our topic of study and each other. Time willing we will even dance to a dinosaur song!!
Learning Goals
Learners will learn about dinosaurs and special details that make them unique. We will also practice our speaking and listening skills during show and tell.
