With permission from capstone we will read the book "Apatosaurus Would Not Make A Good Spy" by Heather Sadler. Students can see the book on screen as I read it aloud. After we finish the book, we will go on a Dino Dig to answer the following questions found in the book: 1. The Apatosaurus lived about 146-157 million years ago. What period did they live in? (Jurassic) 2. Scientists wrongfully classified the Apatosaurus as what other dinosaur? (Brontosaurus) 3. Apatosaurus were herbivores, eating only low lying plants. What did they eat to help them digest plants? (Rocks) 4. The size of an Apatosaurus egg could be compared with what type of ball? (Basketball) 5. The Apatosaurus could shake the ground using what body part? (Tail) After we are done we will answer some Dino discussion questions? 1. Would you rather be a secret agent a or a dinosaur? 2. What characteristics made Artie a bad secret agent? 3. What do you think will happen when Artie tries ice skating? Last activity will be a coloring page we can color together or you can color on your own! Last thing will be an Apatosaurus coloring page that we can color together or you can color on your own.

My name is Kelli Lord and I love to teach. I have a wide range of classes that include reading books, circle time, alphabet and number crafts, and book clubs. I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taught at a Child Development Center for the past 8 years with 18 months - 5 years. I currently teach a class with 2 year old children during the week. I also work with the children's department at my church on Sunday's doing music and drama. In the past I have worked with school age students at an afterschool program. Every year one of my favorite things to is to travel to Mexico with a team from my church doing Kid's Clubs and working with children in one of the local orphanages. I love spending time with my family. I love learning and being able to teach students. I believe children should have fun while learning. Each child is important and needs to be taught in a way that will help them succeed.
