We will begin by making the strawberry angel food cake dessert. We will crumble the angel food cake in a 9x13 pan. Next we will mix the cream cheese, sugar, and whipped topping together. Then, we will spread it over the cake. After that, we will clean and cut the strawberries and mix them with the strawberry glaze and pour it on top of the cake. Then we will allow it to chill until after dinner. Next we will prepare our chicken and broccoli alfredo. First, we will clean and chop the chicken....
Students will feel more confident in the kitchen as they prep an entire family meal.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In this class students need to have basic knowledge of how to use the stove top, oven, mixer, and a sharp knife for cutting the chicken, garlic, and strawberries. Depending on the skill level and personality of the group it may take a little longer or shorter. I have tried to estimate to the best of my knowledge how long it will take us to make the dinner. Although we will not be making one in class, we will discuss that a salad will pair perfectly with this meal!
