Digital Scrapbooking | Social Club and Hangout
Join us for a fun time of creating and socializing! Any type of digital scrapbooker is welcome, whether you're using a simple program like Slides or you're an expert on Photoshop! Digital supplies are provided for those just starting out.
Class experience
This is a scrapbooking club, where we will meet to chat and learn new techniques in our digital scrapbooking adventures. If your creator is already familiar with digital scrapbooking, great! They'll be able to gather the supplies, photos, and applications that they prefer and be all ready to go for club time! Students will learn new techniques for digital design, skills in Google Slides and Photoshop, and sharpen their social skills through conversation.
Mrs. Trem has been teaching math for 14 years, both in the classroom and online. She holds a single subject teaching credential in mathematics, a supplemental credential in English, and a Masters in Education with an emphasis on Educational Technology. But none of that really matters for this scrapbooking class! In her spare time, Mrs. Trem also loves scrapbooking memories of her family and has been doing so since her own teenage years. She has had digital scrapbook spreads published in Creating Keepsakes magazine and online as a guest designer with various digital scrapbook blogs.
For this class you will want to have: A program for designing digital scrapbook pages (your choice–or just use Google Slides for a simple starter program) Digital photos you'd like to use in your pages Digital scrapbooking kits or elements (if you don't have your own, I will provide small sample kits in the classroom space)

If your creator is a beginner, I'll help start them out with some basic supplies and applications. Your beginning creator will need: 1) Access to a Google account, specifically to use Google Slides 2) Ability (or help from a parent) to download a zip file of digital stickers and elements for class 3) Some digital photos they want to use for their memory making It is helpful for creators to have two devices for this class: one to create on, and one to run Zoom. I recommend using a computer or laptop to create, and a phone or tablet for Zoom to make this as simple as possible. This is not necessary, however; creators can run both on the same device, it is just more tedious.
