What's included

6 live meetings
5 in-class hours

2-4 hours per week. Learners will need to practice what we go over in a meeting during the week after the meeting and show what they did during the next meeting.

Class Experience

In this class, we'll continue what is discussed in Digital Photography for Beginners. For the first class, the learner should have an image that is HDR or at least one of the composition styles we discussed in the first class. From there, we'll have a challenge for the next week.
Things we can challenge with are selective color, symmetry, and odd angles. During each section, we'll go over editing pictures, which will include combining multiple shots, converting to black and white, and removing things from pictures. During each section, we'll go over the subject of that meeting and images associated with that subject will be due the following week.
For example, in section 1, we'll go over HDR in more depth than in Digital Photography for Beginners. Images created in HDR will be due at the beginning of Section 2. Learners can add additional challenges each week if so desired.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm a photographer, hiker, biker, and IT guy. I've been a scout master and am teaching the photography merit badge to a local scout troop. My classes will be a mixture of photography, history, and Star Wars, with possibly some other stuff mixed in every now and then. My parents were teachers for more than 30 years and my girlfriend is a teacher, so I've spent my life immersed in what teachers do.
