In this weekly animation club, learners will create fun animations while mastering tips and tricks animating in Procreate. Designed for intermediate animators, this class is ideal for those who have created simple animations with the app and want to take their skills further. The class touches on key animation principles to make animations engaging and explore pose-to-pose techniques to enhance flow. They’ll also learn essential planning and timing strategies for smoother animations and strengthen their observation skills through step-by-step demonstrations. Additionally, this class also covers storytelling, teaching learners how to bring characters and narratives to life through animation. 🛑Prerequisite skills for the class - Know how to use onion skin frames - Understand and change Frames Per Second (FPS) - Know how to use Procreate gestures: undo and redo - Know how to use the following tools/features: create/edit a shape, color fill, selection tool, brush/eraser size, and opacity, layers and groups If your learner does not have the skills mentioned, please consider our Procreate Animation Club for beginners here: https://outschool.com/classes/digital-dabble-procreate-animation-club-animate-with-procreate-SPERa4JM#usJ9nYlN2m 📋 Class Structure - Learners check-in and share new artwork - Review the challenge of the day - discuss the main focus and review reference material for observation - Set up a Procreate file and create the weekly challenge with step-by-step demonstrations. Learners can also create at their own pace and use teacher’s demo as a guide - Share animations and discuss next week’s topic Classroom Expectations During the draw along, learners are welcome to hold up their drawing to the camera for gentle feedback. They are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the lesson through the microphone or chatbox. For classes of more than 3 learners, everyone’s microphone will be muted during instruction to avoid background noise. Learners will be asked to raise their hand before speaking. 🖌️ Materials - An iPad - Procreate App ($12.99 USD) Procreate is only available on the Ipad. An alternative for Android users would be the app Fliapclip. This app comes with a free version.
