This club is project based we will draw our game designs using different software Adobe Products like Photoshop or Illustrator, Procreate, GIMP, Paint, Krita or simply there to draw on pen and paper. There are so many elements that you can draw and customize for your game. Each session will start with sharing our drawings or inspirations, then jump into the digital art creation. In class, we will draw a sketch what we want on paper and translate it to the map or graphic. This club will be learner directed based on the graphics that each learner desires to draw. Session topics will be learner directed. In this weekly, digital art club, the instructor will go over the core concepts such as shading, form, lines and proportions needed to complete a digital drawing. Learners will grasp the skills critical for translating their drawing to a digital masterpiece that can be transferred into a game or other mediums. Strong emphasis on exploring different creative ideas to make their game design complete. Learners are free to drop in class at any time. Instructor will be using Krita software, however, any application can be used to create your designs.
Learning Goals
Learners will get inspiration from one an other and complete a graphic that they can use for their game or to hang up on the refrigerator.

You can use a tablet, touchscreen computer, a drawing tablet, or pen and paper. Using a mouse is not encouraged to draw within some applications.

Any tablet (Ipad, Android, Nexus...) with a stylus pen, a computer with a drawing tablet, a touch laptop with stylus pen, or pen and paper. This club will be focused on digital art and drawing with a mouse will not be covered in the class.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been involved in the Arts and EduTech Community as a curriculum developer and have educated over 500 K-12 programming classes in various technologies such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript and Git. My passions lie with technology and the arts, I have been involved with a local Photography Museum as a Museum Educator and a programming educator for various web technologies and languages.
I have experienced first hand how important the learning process is in a young child’s life and have frequently initiated dialog in unfamiliar territories.
Teaching allows me to constantly grow and craft new lessons. It can be demanding at times, and I like that. Each moment with my learners is unique and intricately beautiful when you witness the growth and hard work.
