What's included
1 live meeting
1 in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Each week we will draw and color a cartoon animal using digital art. Students will follow simple steps to complete the animal. They are welcome to make any changes, big or small, to the cartoon animal. Students are welcome to use whichever program they choose to create digital art (Photoshop, Krita, Procreate etc.). However, they need a very basic knowledge of how to use the program. They should be able to create a new file, use the brush tool and pencil tool, be able to choose between different brushes, be able to choose colors and use layers. A stylus is recommended. Using the mouse is very difficult and I don't suggest it. ***I will be using the art same art that I make for my other class, Learn to Draw Cartoon Animals. Students of Learn to Draw Cartoon Animals are welcome to enroll in both classes but should know that they will see the same art each week. The animals that we will draw in the next four week are as follows: Week of January 15: Form - Turtle Week of January 22: Form - Rabbit Week of January 29: Form - Chameleon Week of February 5: Lizard

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Wilmington
Hello! I'm Mr. Kyle and I am passionate about teaching (and learning!) digital and traditional art.
I graduated college with a B.A. in Psychology. After graduation, I moved to China to teach at a school in Shanghai. There, I taught English, art, science, and social studies for three years before moving back home at the end of 2016. Since then, I have been teaching online. Since 2016, I have spent most of my time outside of work seriously pursuing art. I began self-teaching from books, then I moved to online learning, and finally studied at the Academy of Classical Design.
I believe that artists need to learn the fundamentals of their craft to fully express themselves. I teach the fundamentals of visual art in all of my lessons (implicitly or explicitly). But, learning art should also be fun, so I dedicate the first half of each of my classes to learning, and the second half we have fun by creating art and applying what we learned.
Outside of work and creating art, I love traveling (I've been to over thirty countries!), learning other languages (I'm fluent in Spanish and speak Mandarin well), reading, and playing sports.
