Description

Class Experience

This class is an introduction to the field of Archaeology and how it is used to help us learn about past societies. We will discuss techniques used by archaeologists to locate excavation sites, recover artifacts, and date their discoveries. We will also define paleoanthropology and explore what we can learn about the past from fossil evidence. 
This is a PowerPoint presentation/lecture, and questions may be asked and will be addressed throughout the class.
No previous knowledge is required.

Discuss the basic techniques used to locate archaeological sites and fossil localities
