⭐Welcome to S I N G C R E A T E P L A Y!⭐

We are an original educational organization dedicated to providing top-quality music education and social-emotional learning to young children.

Through Sofia's story (who has Down syndrome), we'll discover that she is just like any other kid, and her journey teaches us the importance of including everyone. As we read, we'll enjoy the beautiful illustrations by Sofia Cardoso, which perfectly complement the powerful message that it's okay to be different.

We'll explore the emotions that come with feeling different, like loneliness and fear, and learn that "being different is beautiful!"

After the story, we'll have a discussion about what inclusion means at school and in our social activities. We'll brainstorm ways to include everyone and understand what true inclusion looks like.

~ Music and Movement: Inclusion Through Dance
After reading the book, we will explore inclusion through dance and music. Children will learn a simple, inclusive dance routine that allows everyone to participate, regardless of their abilities. We’ll use songs that celebrate differences and promote togetherness. This active session encourages physical expression and teamwork.
To wrap up our time together, we'll watch a special video message from Sofia Sanchez herself.

~ Empathy Exercise: Walking in Someone Else’s Shoes
After reading the book, we’ll do an empathy exercise where children try to experience what it might feel like to have different abilities. We will be using blindfolds while drawing a picture. We’ll discuss their experiences and how these activities relate to the importance of inclusion and understanding.

~ Role-Playing: Practicing Inclusion
We will then then engage in role-playing scenarios. Each scenario will depict a situation where a child might feel excluded, such as at a playground or during a game. Children will take turns acting out different roles and finding ways to include everyone. This activity helps develop empathy and practical skills for inclusive behavior.

~ Guest Speaker: Learning from Real-Life Stories
To wrap up our time together, we'll watch a special video message from Sofia Sanchez herself.

Remember, being different is beautiful!
