Diary of a Wimpy Kid takes tween readers along on "The adventures of a 12-year-old (Greg Heffley) who is fresh out of elementary and transitions to middle school, where he has to learn the consequences and responsibility to survive the year." -IMDB Class will begin with a short and fun warm-up to engage students and get everyone in the space to participate. Students will then be guided through a series of multiple-choice and open-ended questions for full comprehension of the book plot....
This class is taught in English.
Students will gain full comprehension of each book's plot points, conflict, and character development while reflecting on their own lives and writing about it.
Homework Offered
Students will need to read the assigned book independently.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Students will need to obtain a copy of each week's assigned book as detailed in the class description. Students may wish to obtain a diary or journal, or use paper and pencil for the short writing portion of the class.
