If you've got a Diary of a Wimpy Kid fan, look no further than this class! Join me as we create unique and entertaining MAD LIBS using PARTS OF SPEECH. We will be using characters and situations from the ever popular series by Jeff Kinney. We will first go over the parts of speech used in each Mad Lib, and then we will have some fun filling in the blanks to create funny and silly stories. Teaching the concept and then immediately applying what the students just learned is a great way to help them better retain the information. I can't wait to create some crazy stories with your learners!
Learning Goals
Students will learn the definition of the following parts of speech:
Noun
Verb
Adjective (including quantifiers)
Adverb
Pronoun
Interjection
The children will then offer suggestions for these parts of speech as we fill in Mad Libs (that have been created specifically for this class) that tell fun and silly stories!
