Class experience
This class meets one time for 45 minutes. It will be based on the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series books 1-3. The design of this class is to engage, challenge, and celebrate readers of all levels. The interactive fun and friendly trivia games between learners during this live class will strengthen reading comprehension skills, provide good sportsmanship skills, and celebrate reading. Students will build reading comprehension skills, a sense of community around reading, and practice good sportsmanship.
I have a B. A. in Education and am a certified teacher in Texas. I have 20 years of classroom teaching experience and have taught all subjects. I have a passion for teaching learners and helping them find their passion.
"Diary of a Wimpy Kid" books 1-3 by Jeff Kinney may be purchased online, checked out at a public library, or listen to on Kindle. Learners will need an additional device such as a tablet or cell phone. You can download the Kahoot It app for free prior to the class. When it is time to start the Kahoot, I will share the pin number they will need in order to enter into the game using the Kahoot app. Learners will also need to choose an appropriate nickname, use their first name, or their initials once they enter the game.
