This is a flexible schedule class which means there are no LIVE meetings. Everything is pre-recorded. Class Outline listed below. There are four pre-recorded videos (Day 1, Day 3, Day 5 and Day 7) of the reading of the Diary of a Minecraft Zombie book "Zombie Swap" by Zack Zombie. The book will be read entirely in 1 week. *Permission has been obtained by the Publisher. There are many different activities in this class including, a Minecraft Build Challenge, a Scavenger Hunt, Minecraft jokes, True or False, and more. Purchasing the books is not mandatory, but helpful if you would like to follow along. In this space, children of all abilities can take a break and immerse themselves in a quality book series. Learners of all types, including those who are neurodivergent and/or have an auditory or visual learning style, will find this to be a great opportunity. CLASS OUTLINE Zombie Swap - Day One: 25 minute read aloud video 📚 Discussion topic(s) posted. - Day Two: Drawing Activity Scavenger Hunt activity Learners will be encouraged to spend 1 minute to go around their space and find items that remind them of the Minecraft related item that I choose. There will be a total of 5 scavenger hunt items. Learners will then be encouraged to share what items they found; either by posting photos in Outschool classroom or typing a post. - Day Three: 20 minute read aloud video Discussion topic(s) posted. - Day Four: True or False activity - Day Five: 20 minute read aloud video Optional Minecraft Jokes Activity - Day Six: Optional Minecraft Build Challenge a PDF with step by step instructions and pictures will be provided along with a step by step video outlining instructions on the build. This build will be completed in the Minecraft game. In order to participate in this optional activity, learners must have the Minecraft game. Once the build is complete, learners are encouraged to share a photo of the build in the classroom. - Day Seven: 28 minute read aloud video Discussion topic(s) posted. Optional Who Am I activity I will be accessible and respond within 24 hours to messages. Personalized feedback will be provided for activities that learners post in the classroom. The books are super entertaining, and any Minecraft fan will LOVE them! They are written from the perspective of a character named Zombie. These books are his diary of the events that happen in his life. Zombie gets himself into all kinds of sticky situations! These books are very easy to follow and allow learners to really dive into their imaginations. It is extremely important to me that all learners have a wonderful experience while participating in this class. Please reach out to me if you are ever unhappy with my class. The Diary of a Minecraft Zombie books discuss zombies, skeletons, creepers, slimes and other mobs in the Minecraft game. Please keep this in mind when enrolling your learner in the class.
You don't need to buy the books - I'll be reading them aloud in class. If you'd like your learner to follow along, there's a link to purchase them in the External Resources.

You don't need to have a Canva account to watch my pre-recorded videos.
To participate in a few of the optional activities, you'll need Minecraft. The game is required for some of the extra activities.
