Emotional intelligence is the ability to identify and manage our emotions as well as to develop positive relationships with different types of people. In this class, students will be encouraged to identify their own emotions, learn tools to manage them, as well as learn skills to successfully recognize and respect other people's emotions. These skills will help them to communicate effectively,...
Students will learn to recognize different types of feelings and emotions they experience, learn ways to better understand and recognize other peoples feelings, as well as tools they might use in their own lives.
I have a Masters degree in Communications Studies, have taught meditation and life skills to children and adults. This has included helping students to communicate and solve problems.
Please bring pen and paper to the class.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
It would be helpful if students are willing to discuss feelings and emotions. However, by keeping the discussion general (what moods and emotions might people feel?), students can learn what methods or tools they might choose that is right for them.
