By the end of the class, my goal is for students to feel confident with their newly gained comprehension tools and use them independently as they continue to grow as readers. 

I have been a teacher for the last decade, specializing primarily in early literacy and writing, mathematics, and social emotional wellness. I love history and anthropology, psychology, creating art and music, baking, hiking, and more!  My general approach to teaching is slow paced, warm, and encouraging. I meet the learner where they are, while giving them space to blossom at their own pace. I pride myself in using positive language and responsive classroom techniques to run my lessons.
