Class Experience

What is Gratitude? It is simply being thankful for or appreciating something someone has done for you or given you.  Having a positive outlook and being thankful can actually change our mood from having a bad day to a good day.  Students will understand that showing gratitude makes us healthier; reducing stress, boosting self confidence, promotes better sleep, improves grades and relationships. Being grateful is a wonderful building block to have in the development of emotional growth.

Students will discuss and learn what it means to be grateful and thankful and give examples of each.  Finally, they will understand the importance of showing gratitude and how to recognize a positive attitude of thankfulness.

I have 10 years of classroom teaching experience teaching ages 3-18, and have taught all subjects as well as Personal Safety lessons for a non-profit private organization aiding in the Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment of child abuse. I have 4 years experience as an ESL teacher and homeschooled my three children in elementary and middle school. I have attended many seminars and obtained numerous certifications to keep up with my educational responsibilities. I want to be a great resource for parents and their children as it is my passion to be able to serve in that capacity.

Learners will need paper and a pencil.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
