Develop Your Creative Writing- Using Adjectives
Class experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 1
Does your learner love writing stories and is hungry for more inspiration? Or equally does your learner struggle with ideas for creative writing and needs a 'key' to release their full imaginative potential? In this class, the Story Fairy (in full character and costume) will help inspire your young creative writer by 'stepping' into lots of different places on Story Island (via fun green screen backgrounds), and asking learners what she should do next. Learners will take it in turns to...
This class offers learners a chance to develop their creative writing skills by writing a story live during the class and trying to use lots of adjectives. This is also a chance for learners to build their imagination, communication, confidence, and turn-taking skills too.
I am a fully qualified teacher (BAPA, PGCE) with 16+ years of experience teaching Drama, English, Music, PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health, and Citizenship education), and Performing Arts in bricks and mortar schools, where I currently still teach part-time. I also run small group confidence-building workshops and 1:1 tutoring sessions. I have many years of experience leading community workshop schemes (like 'create a play in a week') and local drama groups for ages 4 to 16 as well. As a professional actress, I've performed for children from ages 2-14 in theatres, arts centres, social clubs, historical properties, nurseries, and schools. Playing roles such as the Gingerbread man and a tortoise, to a wartime headmistress and Queen Elizabeth the first! With lots of Q & A and interactive workshops along the way. I then branched into presenting (live, events, radio, some TV, and for holiday companies across Europe) including some Voiceover work. I currently create and present drama and presenter tuition videos and have a regular podcast. I have produced and directed many productions (musicals and plays) as well, including some I have written myself. I am a Mummy to two young kids myself too, in fact, that is how the 'Story Fairy' was born!
