Learn how to detangle your gorgeous kinky, coily, curly hair in preparation for styling. One time course that is all about detangling Type 4 Afro textured hair. You learner will learn why "detangling with love" is such an important part of our hair care routine. This is the perfect class if your learner is at the age where they are looking for more independence in styling their own hair. Especially if you want to make sure they have the basics covered before you hand over the wide-toothed comb. I will lead the learners through the appropriate steps to take in order to detangle without causing pain or unnecessarily pulling out hair. They will also learn ways to minimize tangling so detangling is easier to begin with. **It is possible that the full detangle process will need to be completed after class. However, they will be equipped to do so in a safe manner once they know the proper technique.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to detangle their hair with love and care on their way to more independent styling.

Supply List
- Wide toothed comb - 4 to 6 hair claws for sectioning - Spray bottle filled with water - Leave in conditioner/Moisturizer (Because everyone's hair is different, please bring what works best for you)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi there! My name is Kimberlee and I am so excited to meet you!
I have over 15 years' experience as an educator, teacher trainer and basketball coach. I have 2 bachelor's degrees, Psychology and Advertising, and am TESOL certified. This has allowed me to live and work in many different countries around the world. I learned Spanish in Barcelona, salsa dancing in South Korea (Yep, you read that right!) and ignited my love for photography in Colombia. My experience includes working in both public and private schools. For the last year, I have been working as a private online tutor.
I'm excited of offer some fun and entertaining classes to my Outschool learners. My teaching style is upbeat and engaging. From my experience, children learn best when they are having fun. I aim to not only educate, but to have a great time along the way.
