Design Your Own Robot Remote Control
Class experience
In this 2 week camp, learners get to design their own robot remote control on paper and then pretend to be the robot while acting out the different buttons! On day 1, students will bring a remote control to class to look at, talk about what kind of buttons they see, think about what kind of robot they will pretend to be, and discuss ideas they have for actions they could act out and include on their remote control design. Students will learn to design their own robot remote control on paper.
With a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, I have discovered how truly integrated so many topics truly are. By giving children a chance to explore the basics of designing the layout of a remote control for a pretend robot, they will get a chance to think through and create a plan that requires pulling information from various subject which work together.

You will need: -Any remote control -Papers -Drawing and coloring materials -Anything else you want to use to design your remote control (e.g. cardboard, glue, beads, etc.)
