Hello Families! Let's have some fun creating our own quizzes on Kahoot! The first class we'll meet to play a few quizzes and learn how to make your own, with 10-15 minutes of class time to begin your own quiz. Our second class will meet to play everyone's quiz! ***In order to design a Kahoot quiz, a learner must have a FREE account on Kahoot; there is no need to upgrade to a premium account. Because of the social nature of this class, less than two learners will not be as fun, therefore, the class may be rescheduled, so invite your friends and family to join so we have LOTS of members! ***Any learner who recruits other learners to the club will earn a 10% discount! ***Here is important information about Kahoot's child safety/age policy. Please read before you create your own account: Per our Children Privacy Policy, accounts for Students and Social users under 16 (under 13 in the U.S.) have the following limitations: They must log in with username, not email (except Google or Microsoft single sign-on users). Featured content on the Discover page can be browsed, but search is disabled. Their Kahoots cannot be shared or made visible to everyone. Other people's Kahoots cannot be shared with them. They can only start challenges with public Kahoots. Once a user under 16 (under 13 in the U.S.) turns 16 (13 in the U.S.), they'll be asked to verify their email and birthdate the next time they log in. If everything matches, these restrictions will be removed.*** Here are some things you'll need: (See the links provided) *Be sure to create your own account on Kahoot.com. *In addition to the device you use to log into our Zoom meeting, you will need the Kahoot! app on a second device. *Feel free to play some games before class so that you are familiar with the quiz topics available, and have an idea of the topic you would like to use for your own quiz.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there!
Thanks for reading my profile; I'm happy to answer any questions.
I have been teaching elementary, middle school, and high school in Florida since 1995.
My teaching style is mostly easy going and casual as long as everyone is able to learn.
I encourage classroom interaction and discussion between students and with me. My students might be from three different countries all in the same virtual classroom! However I will keep everyone muted during instruction or when there is just too much background noise.
My education includes a Bachelor's degree in Education from Toledo, Ohio, and a Master's in Psychology from The University of Phoenix, OLS.
My Educator's License is from the State of Florida Department of Education. I am certified in ***Exceptional Student Education (Grades K-12)
Elementary Education (Grades 1-6)
and Mathematics (Grades 5-9)
If you're interested in a little bit more about me, be sure to watch my profile video.
I am so excited to have you in my class! See you soon...
Ms. Melanie
