In this class I will be teaching a problem based math lesson. We will discuss what area and perimeter is, how you find area and perimeter and the different scenarios when you would use one over the other. Then as a group we will start brainstorming our dream home. Is it in a city or suburbs? Is it by a beach or a lake? Lastly, once everyone decides on their dream home location we will start designing the room ( up to two stories.) After creating the inside and outside of the home, students...
Students will learn how to brainstorm and implement a plan or vision. They will also learn the difference between area and perimeter and how to solve for each.
