**PLEASE NOTE** This is a SELF-PACED class and is PRE-RECORDED. THIS MEANS STUDENTS WILL WATCH THE PRE-RECORDED VIDEO. There are no live meetings. All interactions between students and the teacher will happen on the class page. This class will be presented via pre-recorded demonstration drawings. Students will engage in questions, class discussions on the classroom tab, assignments and be part of an artist critique, which will be guided by the instructor. Why Self-Paced? *MY Self-Paced classes ALWAYS cost less than the live versions of the same class! *Self-Paced classes are an excellent choice for families with busy schedules. *Content is exactly the same as live classes, at a lower fee. *Students can work at an independent pace. *Self-Paced classes are fantastic for international students whose time zone doesn't match the teacher's (US Mountain Time), *Self-Paced classes are a great alternative for students who are uncomfortable with live video chat. Our Self-Paced format will be as follows: Content: Video demonstration of the process will be posted. Videos will vary in length depending on the type of art being presented. Some may be as short as 10 or 15 minutes while others could be ½ hour or more. Student work is expected to take anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour, depending upon the student’s preferred pace. Students will learn to draw a castle using basic shapes, and then add their own unique details and colors. Detailed information regarding the content of each session can be found in the syllabus.

As a veteran art teacher, I have successfully developed methods for helping children break down seemingly complicated drawing tasks into simple steps for successful drawing. Castles are so much fun to draw because they allow for a lot of imagination to take place!
