In this 4 week class, students will learn how to sketch and design costumes for the Descendants characters and learn choreography and dance to Descendants' music. The dance classes will be original choreography from Ms. Janalyn with a warm-up, a breakdown of a hip-hop Descendants dance, and a trivia game.

***Please note that this is the flexible version of the Design and Dance Descendants Classes. Classes are not live but pre-recorded and students may choose when to take the lessons, according to their schedule.

This class will be interactive with students and teacher. Students will be asked to upload and share work on Costume Design or a Team Challenge, in our classroom. I will post weekly on Mondays, both with a pre-recorded video and a share and a discussion message. I will be available to discuss, answer questions, and support every learner. Students are also encouraged to work together through the Outschool classroom platform as a class. Our "mini-project" will be designed to help students engage in a meaningful and fun activity weekly.

I received a ballet scholarship in my Ballet training school in Idaho. I never fell out of love with Ballet, and continued to incorporate dance in my life by teaching Beginning Ballet students for 3 years. In 2010, I received a Pilates certification and went on to run my own small Pilates business and I continue to teach students and friends of all ages. I love dancing, but my greatest joy is choreographing movement as an art form. I truly hope for learners to find grace, poise, and confidence in the movements they learn.
I received an Elementary Education degree in 2003, in Idaho. I went on to teach third grade students for five years. I love to decorate and design and I am happy to share appreciation for Art and Design with my students.
