Hey awesome artists! Get ready for a cool 40-minute adventure where we'll travel back to medieval times and create our very own shields. ⚔️🎨 We'll start by drawing unique patterns and symbols on our shields. Think dragons, swords, or your favorite symbols! We will create 4-5 symbols that best represent our unique personalities. Then, grab your crayons, and let's add some cool details to make our shields pop. We'll use markers to add some vibrant shades to our shields. And the best part? We'll dive into watercolor painting, using a variety of watercolor techniques including wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet and wax-resist. 💦 While we're having fun creating, we'll chat about knights, suits of armor, castles, and why those medieval shields were so awesome. You'll also have an opportunity to share your unique shield with the class. What's Cool About Designing Shields: 🔸 We get to explore the past while making awesome art using a variety of art mediums. 🔸 Every shield is one-of-a-kind, just like you! 🔸 Express yourself by adding special symbols to your shield. Ready for this creative time-travel journey? I'm excited to design a shield with you! 👉My classes will never be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Pencil Watercolor paper Watercolor paint (tray or tubes) Cup of water Paint brushes (fine tip & large flat brush) Plastic mixing surface to mix watercolor paints Crayons or oil pastels Water-based markers (Crayola markers work great!) Paper towels
