In this 50 minute art class, young artists will draw and paint a beautiful patterned butterfly using a variety of art mediums: markers, watercolor, & crayons. Beginners welcome! This small group class will not exceed 6 learners.
Class experience
In this class we will explore the wonderful world of mixed media while creating a beautiful butterfly with patterns. This lesson is structured, however learners are welcome to add their own ideas to make their butterfly unique. We begin by creating an outline of a butterfly. Learners will be given easy to follow, step-by-step directions. We will create contrasting patterns using a variety of lines and shapes. I have been an art educator for over 25 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Art Education (K-12) from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have taught in public schools, private schools, as well as homeschool co-op groups and private lessons.
