Class Experience
Grab some water and sunscreen! We are going deep in the desert to look for wild animals! In this one-time class Spanish and science class, students will learn all about Los Animales del Desierto" (Desert Animals). We will learn to pronounce the names of 10 different desert animals and learn some fun facts about each of them along the way! Students will be encouraged to share any thoughts they have or facts they know about each animal. By the end of class, students will be able to identify...
Students will learn the following words in Spanish: 1. Camel 2. Scorpion 3. Rattlesnake 4. Coyote 5. Armadillo 6. Vulture 7. Chameleon 8. Eagle 9. Tortoise 10. Badger Students will also work on sharing their thoughts and opinions as we discuss each animal. My goal is for students to be introduced to new words in Spanish, learn about each animal, share their thoughts and opinions, ask questions, make connections with things they've previously learned, and have fun!
No homework, but I will provide extra resources and worksheets after class to reinforce the lesson.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There will be images and videos of animals that may frighten some students.
