This class will teach your child how to write using descriptive words to set the scene.

US Grade 4 - 6
Have you ever read a story and felt like you were there? This class will teach your child how to use imagery to set the scene for the reader. In this class, I will be teaching the learners how to use visualization techniques and their senses in their writing. The learners will be doing some prewriting activities based off of a picture that I have chosen for them. After that, there will be some setting writing and an option to share with the class. I hope to see your child in my class!
- This class will strengthen the learner’s skills as a writer. It will teach them to use their senses and visualization techniques to set the scene for the reader.
Learners need to know how to write full sentences and a paragraph independently.
Your child will need a pencil or pen and at least two pieces of paper.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
