Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This class will be a conversation between me and the learner. I will write new vocabulary on my whiteboard and discuss the meaning of new words. For younger learners and ESL learners, I will use actions and facial expressions to help understanding. I will act out the animal and how it behaves.

The learner will learn words (adjectives) to describe animals, and I have a beginner level word list as well as an advanced level word list.

I will then ask the learner to describe their favourite animal and animals whose pictures I will hold up. I will ask what these animals eat and if they sleep in the daytime or nighttime. In the case of advanced learners, we will use words such as omnivore and nocturnal.

With more advanced learners, we will talk about camouflage.

Any learner is welcome in this class. No prior knowledge is needed.
