Beginner Level
Students will learn common face parts vocabulary and adjectives to describe them along with essential classroom survivial phrases such as, "How do you say...?" Classes will consist of reviewing vocabulary and participating in games and activities such as matching games to implement and practice phrases between student-student and student-teacher. Teaching style includes brief explanations, learn through play, visuals, question/answer drills and repetition activities. Learners should already have command on basic Chinese question and answer patterns and vocabulary. Week 1: Play games and activities to practice the face parts Week 2: Discuss verb-object patterns and how they create a word using the verbs "to see", "to hear" and "to speak" Week 3: Learn descriptive words such as big and small and use them to describe face parts Week 4: Evaluate and combine all we've learned and play Guess Who Writing sheets will be provided for those who would like to participate in the writing portion.

Our teachers are either native Chinese speakers, have an advanced degree in Chinese and experience teaching, or have lived in a Chinese speaking country extensively and have experience teaching Chinese. Our teachers have a wide range of experience that match them to their respective class groups. Our courses include the use of music, technology, games, culture and learning through play. Each course is designed with age-specific targets and resources. Much research and evaluation is continually embedded into our curriculum to make it as effective and efficient as possible.
