Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will have one worksheet for homework, as well as the baking challenge sheet. These will be due on Friday of each week, and they will be returned to the students the following Monday.

They will also be required to post on the Jamboard each week.

At the end of the course, students will team up to create a final project where they make up their own baking challenge. This will be due on Friday of the last week.
Below I have listed the baking ingredients that you will need for all the recipes for the entire course. I will provide ingredients for the individual recipes each week. Please let me know if you have any allergies or preferences so I can adjust the recipes. 5 cups sugar 1 cup brown sugar 5 teaspoons salt 2 ½ cups butter 12 eggs 3 teaspoons vanilla 11 cups flour 3 teaspoons baking soda 2 teaspoons baking powder 3 teaspoons vanilla 5 teaspoons cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice 2 cups milk 2 cups vegetable oil 1 banana 5 apples 4 cups carrots or zucchini 4 teaspoons cocoa powder 2 tablespoons peanut butter Buttercream frosting 2 Oreo cookies (optional garnish) 2 Reese's peanut butter cups (optional garnish)
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
The students in the class will create the batter/dough needed to bake the daily treat, but they will not be doing the actual baking until after the class. Students will not be supervised by the online teacher while they are doing the baking. During class, students will occasionally use a knife to cut fruit, but other than that will not be using any dangerous cooking utensils.
