Class Experience

NOTE: There must be a minimum of 3 students or class will be canceled. Students will hear an exciting story about Edgar Degas and the Little Dancer. The book I will be reading is by Laurence Anholt. I highly suggest adding his books about the artists to your library. He always includes a child in the story and they are based on true stories. There are also videos by NEST entertainment that have wonderful movies about the artists that tell an inspirational story and always includes a child.

We will be focusing on using one of the Six Super Reading Strategies while reading. The strategy will be making connections. Your child will learn how to make connections while reading. These connections are T-T (text to text), T-S (text to self), and T-W (text to world.)

For art supplies, you will need paper, coffee filter, glue, and crayola markers (water soluable).

I am a true art lover. I love art history and learning about the lives of the great artists. I enjoy studying their works. I am excited to share my passion with children so they can grow up having an appreciation for the art culture. I want them to enjoy walking through a museum and looking at the paintings the way the artist looked at them.
