In this one time class, we will look at how fractions and decimals compare to one another. We will spend time analyzing how to turn a decimal into a fraction using place value. We will use the tenths, hundredths, and thousandths place. Learners will use decimal grids to help their thinking. Next, we will take a look at how to turn a fraction into a decimal. Is the denominator a factor of 10, 100, or 1000? How can we change the denominator into something that fits into our place value? These...
