Description
Class Experience
I hold an Associates Degree in Wildlife Education.
At the end of the class, students will be asked to take what they have learned and 'discover' their own deep-sea creature. They will need to describe what zone of the ocean their discovery lives in and what adaptations it has that allows it to live there. There will also be optional printouts to reinforce facts and vocabulary learned. Includes a crossword puzzle and search-a-word.
Optional: A ruler if one is available to help the student visualize the sizes we are talking about. Not necessary if it is not available.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental guidance not required.
I have obtained material from a variety of scholarly sources. The largest of which is the Monterrey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. We will be viewing several videos from their youtube site via screen share during class.
