Description
Class Experience
Wondering what you might see down in the deepest parts of the oceans around the world? I'll give you a hint. They are mysterious and creepy! There is no light down on the deepest ocean floors so these animals usually live in complete darkness! They have changed and adapted in so many ways. We are going to take a look at a few of them and learn some interesting facts about each along the way. The class will be taught using a slideshow presentation, where we can see images of real animals and...
Students will learn what types of animals and fish can live down deep in the oceans. They will learn a few interesting facts about each animal too, like how they survive, what they eat, and more!
A page will sent to parents/learners for after class to identify deep sea creatures. There will be images of ocean animals and learners will be asked to circle deep sea creatures and place an "x" on animals that do not live in the deep. This page is optional and does not need to be turned in.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some of the animals are a bit creepy looking, with large teeth. The anglerfish pictured on the class cover is the most potentially upsetting image learners will see in class. Most are fine, like the squid and jellyfish.
