By the end of class, students will be able to recognize and identify the consonant and vowel symbols in English according to IPA. They will also be able to decode words and sentences using these symbols.
I have studied both languages and linguistics at a university level. It is my passion to share my knowledge of this topic.
There is no homework required for this course. However, I will attach a PDF of more words and sentences in IPA that students can decode for more practice. I will also include cheat sheets for the consonant and vowel symbols.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
