Decoding Culture
In this one time course, we will examine what culture is, key elements of culture, how these aspects shape our lives and how culture can be changed.

In this class I will cover what culture is, key elements of culture, how these aspects shape our lives and how culture can be changed. This will be a one-time course, with the possibility that it may be carried on further. The course will be structured in a lecture format, with plenty of images, text, and student participation as we decode culture. I have a MA in anthropology and I have been teaching anthropology at the university level for 15 years now. In my many years of teaching I have taught Cultural Anthropology, Cultural Resistance, General Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, Archaeology, and Archaeology Lab. I have always been interested in culture and the similarities and differences between cultures. Anthropology has given me an avenue to pursue a better understanding of my culture and we all relate to each other.
Homework Offered
The only homework for this class will be to read a 4 page article on culture before the class starts.0 hours per week outside of class
