Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, my name is Eric and I'm a Health and Physical Education Teacher in Pennsylvania. I began working as an Early Education Youth Soccer Instructor with Soccer Shots after graduating from University at Albany in 2014.

It was then, I grasped my true passion for mentoring the youth to pursure, achieve and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. After this experience, I decided to go back to school at West Chester University to become a Health and Physical Education Teacher.

I've earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Communication from University at Albany, a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Education degree in Technology Education from California University of Pennsylvania. I'm currently pursuing my Doctorate in Education at University of Pittsburgh.

I believe being a teacher is the most influential of role models and has the opportunity to inspire in all students the love of learning and compassion for others.

My educational philosophy is as followed:
*Create an oasis of safety and respect in the classroom.
*Use standards to guide every learning opportunity.
*Make performance expectations clear. Have students set personal learning objectives.
* Engage students' interest.
* Interact meaningfully with every student.
*Make the most of every minute.
*Use feedback to encourage effort.
*Coach students to mastery.
*Help students develop deep knowledge.
*Help students apply their learning.
*Measure understanding against high expectations.

I currently offer classes in health, wellness and physical education. I have a passion for inspiring the youth on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and I'm more than happy to work with your schedule to help your child learn just that!
