SUMMARY OF THE CLASS In this ongoing weekly debate club class, students will be debating informally on a number of topics. Students will learn how to debate off the cuff because there will be a different topic each week i.e. what is better cats or dogs and students will have to share their points of view promptly and without a lot of research. It is meant to be a fun more informal debate class. Students will also learn how to effectively communicate their points in an effective and friendly way and understand how to have conversations with people that may not have the same opinion as them. I also believe that students need to have a structure to write from to really master the art of essay writing. I also have lots of experience with students with a number of different abilities and neurodiverse students. I have experience with blind students, autistic students, students with ADHD, etc. If your student needs any accommodations to make this class more accessible for them please feel free to reach out and I will make these accommodations to the best of my ability.
