Description

Class Experience

This clinic hopes to teach learners not only effective techniques during formal debating, but also to teach learners how to use language and reasoning to obtain the information you truly want to gain in your life. By the end of this clinic, the learner will gain confidence in their interactions with others, whether on a debate stage, in a courtroom, as a journalist or as a member of the community.
I teach debate and am a practicing lawyer. I also care passionately that young people learn how to interact and engage in the world with respect, integrity and with critical thinking skills intact.
There may be short assignments during some weeks, but not all weeks will involve homework.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
5 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
