This class is taught in English.
Student will learn argumentation skills, excellent listening skills, public speaking and practice research. They will learn how to be an active listener and to properly take notes during a debate.
Our teachers have been teaching Debate and Public Speaking groups for the last 9 years to elementary through high school students. We have taking courses on Debate through The Middle School Debate Program. Additionally, we have certified teachers who have been teaching a variety of subjects, including ESL, Special Education, English, Writing, Math, Science, History, Geography and Philosophy.
Homework Offered
Learners may be required to research the topic and prepare view points for both sides. Additionally, student my be required to write a speech out fully for practice.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
