In this class students will explore the fascinating world of deadly and carnivorous plants thoruh the lenses of science, history, and mythology. Each lesson is designed to spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and make learning interactive. Key topics include: The science of deadly plants, how and why they produce toxins. The biological effects of plant poisons on humans and animals. Deadly plants in history, how poisonous plants have been used in medicine and assassinations. Mythology and folklore of Dangerous plants, how plants like mandrake, belladonna, and wolfsbane became part of myths. The modern-day impact of toxic plants, how plant based toxins are used in medicine today, and conservation of dangerous plants and their importance in biodiversity. How is the class structured? The class is structured to keep students engaged and actively learning through a mix of multimedia content, hands on activities, and discussions. My teaching is engaging, interactive and supportive focusing on a mix of visual, auditory, and hands on learning methods to accommodate different styles. My style is focused on making learning fun, fostering critical thinking, and supporting students with diverse needs by offering various ways to support them. Learners will have plenty of opportunities to interact throughout the class. There are live discussions and hands on activities.

Students will be able to identify at least 5 poisonous or dangerous plants
Students will understand the key characteristics that make a plant toxic.

Learning Needs
This class is intentionally designed to be engaging and accessible for all learners, including those with ADHD, dyslexia and other unique learning needs. The interactive and multimodal approach ensures this.
Parental Guidance
This class is designed to be both educational and engaging, with content that may include references to poisonings, historical uses of toxic plants, and mythical legends involving dangerous plants.
