Dealing With Bullying

In this one time course, students will listen and follow along while I read a comic book styled story called "Rise Above" written by me! We will discuss some different tactics that the main character uses when dealing with a bully.

Description

Class Experience

I have experience teaching social skills to students in the self-contained and collaborative school setting. I have taught about bullying for the last 6 years of my teaching career.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be utilizing google jamboard and kahoot. Kahoot requires parental consent. We will be doing Kahoot during the last 8 minutes of class. If you do not want your child to participate they can leave class early! In order for you child to use Kahoot they will need to input a code that I will give them during live class. No account is needed.

We will also be utilizing google jamboard. For this, students will need a google account and access to google jamboard. Please make sure they can access google jamboards before class begins so when I share the jamboard with them they can participate in all of the fun activities! If you do not wish for them to have a google account that is fine! They can still follow along during class!
