Class experience
Students will learn teamwork, collaborative storytelling, improvisation and practice basic math and problem-solving skills through the lens of an exciting and engaging game of Dungeons and Dragons by taking on the roles of adventuring heroes in a homebrewed setting pitted against a proactive and cunning foe. Students will do the following... 1. Create characters using an outside document as a guideline. 2. Learn the value of teamwork. 3. Direct their own actions with little prompting from the instructor. 4. Deal with the consequences, intended and otherwise, of their decisions. 5. Take increasing responsibility for the sandbox the game takes place in. 6. Confront a dynamic foe as dedicated to beating them as they are to beating him.
I have a degree in English and Textual Studies from Syracuse University, a master's degree in Elementary Education, and have played in and run D&D games for 30 years.
Homework Offered
