This class will provide a fun and exciting introduction to the world of Dungeons & Dragons. I'll introduce the game systems in a simple, uncomplicated way that is ideal for new players. We will begin by embarking on a multi-week campaign called Lost Mine of Phandelver, where students will search for a lost mine that is rumored to contain a great magical power. Students will improve their understanding of D&D mechanics, creative writing, the power of their imagination, basic math (addition/subtraction), risk management, public speaking, social skills and more!
I'm a long time Dungeon Master with parenting and coaching experience.
A standard D&D dice set (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20) is recommended ($10-$15).

While I'll be keeping the content at an age-appropriate level, please keep in mind there will be monsters, combat and supernatural magic. Characters can die in the game (in which case they will create a new character). I can accommodate special requests from parents on what they feel their child can handle.
We will be using official Dungeons & Dragons content and Fifth Edition (5E) ruleset.
