Class experience
Welcome to Dungeons & Dragons 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟮𝟬 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻. I hope you like tight enclosed spaces that lead down 23 levels and are filled with monsters and more monsters. Luckily, it's filled with treasure too. Bring an extra sandwich and stay a while. Oh, and a jacket in case you get to the ice level, and some shorts when you find the lava, and a dry pair of socks for when you fall in the river. Pack light enough that you don't have to carry everything though. Or, make the barbarian...

Students will get to pick up on social cues, experience team building exercises, develop critical thinking skills, gain math and reading comprehension, engage in moral and ethics discussions, receive creative story building and character creation experience, create in-game and real life bonds and friendships, and more.
I have more than 6 years (10,000+ hours) of Dungeon Master experience, and use my 20 years of Navy public relations training and voice acting skills to tell unique stories and create inventive puzzles & scenarios to engage all of my players, both young and old.
Homework Offered
Before the class starts, students should have a character built. I am available to assist in this process.Assessments Offered
This class is more for fun, but it does encourage many challenging thoughts that often play out as a developing factor in life. Problem solving, creative thinking, teamwork, and morals & ethics are some examples that come to mind right away.Grades Offered
Please have a computer with a mouse if you can. Tablets are okay, but they don't interact with the maps very well. Also, Chrome and Firefox are the preferred internet browser for Roll20. Edge doesn't like to load and Safari turns Roll20 into a Picasso.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Dungeons & Dragons is a roleplaying game that involves players defeating monsters and villains using imaginary swords, axes, hammers, bows and magic. The violence involved is imaginary. The use of alcohol is a trope in this game, but not actually a key aspect - for example, the players will sometimes meet in a tavern to receive quests. There are monsters such as witches and devils in Dungeons & Dragons. Players will sometimes run across these creatures in their games, but they aren't intended to be worshiped or idolized - they are often written into the story with the expressed intention that they be defeated.
While not mandatory, players will benefit by having the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition 'Player's Handbook' as they can pick up on the rules and come up with story ideas for their character concepts.
