Class Experience

In our DC sharing class we will:
*Show or tell about our favorite characters (toy, picture, book etc.) and explain why we like them so much.
*Share facts about their favorite to deepen their understanding of who that character is and why they are special.
*We will take a movement break featuring some Superfriends "Power Moves".
*I will read a DC story to the group. Each student may draw their favorite character (you may choose to have your child complete this before class if they tend to draw more slowly.) **I will not be teaching them to draw their characters.**
*We will practice Grace and Courtesy by taking turns sharing about our drawings (if they would like.)
*Depending on time left, we might play "Would you Rather" and talk about favorite stories or scenes from the book, cartoon or movie universe.
*We will say our goodbyes and (if time allows) offer each child a chance to talk/share about something that we did not cover in class.

Learning Goals

Students will get to expand their knowledge of DC heroes.
Students will practice social skills like public speaking, listening to others and not interrupting.
Students will practice super hero "Power Moves" for gross motor practice.
Students will practice critical thinking while discussing the characters and while playing games.
