Students will see and discuss examples of quartz minerals. Topics include how quartz forms, how old the crystals are, locations they are found, and their unique formations. Students will draw a quartz crystal.

Class Experience
Students will need a sheet of plain paper and a pencil. If they are a rock collector, they may want to choose two of their own rocks to show the class.
