Participants must have played Hero Kids before. If your child is new to Hero Kids, they should take my basics class (send me a message and I will send you a link). In this adventure, the Hero Kids are sent down into the drains and cisterns below Rivenshore to find something that is missing. Along the way, the Hero Kids will be met with challenges, mysterious fountains, and of course, lots of monsters! Will the Hero Kids be able to save the day this time? The participants will need to choose their character before the adventure begins and post their choice in the classroom so that we don't have duplicate characters. Participants will also need to come to the adventure prepared with their hero card, three d6 dice, and a pencil with an eraser. The maps are too small for pets so pets are not allowed on this adventure. We will begin day one with introductions of participants and their characters. The participants will take turns and work together to solve a series of problems and battle some strange monsters. The game will be on slides and the participants will be allowed to annotate to show where they'd like to move and which monster they want to attack. A special thank you goes out to Justin Halliday, creator of Hero Kids, for permission to use it on Outschool's platform. If you'd like to purchase the game Hero Kids, you can at drivethrurpg.com. It is not necessary to purchase the game to play this adventure but it sure is fun to play at home!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Laura. I have a master's degree in elementary education and love to teach! I've been a third-grade, fourth-grade, and fifth-grade teacher; I've also taught middle school science. I love teaching math and science! I enjoy teaching math because it's a subject in which I struggled as a child. I understand that some students may find math difficult and I take the time to help each student learn to find their point of confusion! Once a student knows how to find where they're stuck, they can use it anytime they feel lost. I like to design lessons in which I am a facilitator and the students talk as much, if not more than me. I live in Texas now but lived in Europe for 6 years! I have a 15-year-old cat, I've been married 10 years, and I have a 6-year-old son. I hope to meet you soon!
